Blue Oak Charter School’s inaugural music festival, Oaken Lands, coordinated by the Parent Council, will be held on April 21st 2024 at the Women’s Club. The Oaken Lands fundraiser will be an inspiring event of great live musical entertainment, food, drinks, and friends. With your help, we will be able to provide vital funds to ensure access for our annual middle school field trips, specifically the 7th grade overnight trip to the Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon. This event provides real world context and applications for the specific curriculum in Grade 7 beyond the classroom walls.  This year, we aim to raise a total of $15,000 to cover the cost of each student attending this multi-day field trip to Ashland. We’d be honored to recognize you in our efforts to support this amazing program.    

Imagine a generation of children who love learning. Children who are self-possessed and confident in their abilities, socially and environmentally responsible, inclusive and compassionate, and exuding creativity and problem-solving skills. That is the motivation behind everything we do at Blue Oak Charter School, Chico’s Waldorf-inspired public Kindergarten-8th Grade. We have been receiving children with reverence and educating them with love for the past 20 years. We believe all students deserve access to the education we offer, including the enriching field trips that begin in Grade 3. That is why we count on the generosity of our community and those who believe that a holistic, empowering education is not only possible but necessary for our times.
